  1. The patient might receive either local or general anesthesia. The doctor chooses the appropriate anesthesia for the patient to make sure that he will sleep deeply during the operation.
  2. The surgeon makes a small incision behind the ear, which allows access to the cartilage of the ear, which is the main part of the ear.
